Kimmy has let me know that she’s in a weird position in China. She gets stared at a lot. And even when she makes eye contact, people still don’t look away.
She gets handed gifts and told she is pretty a lot. Like guys will come up to her and hand her things. Sometimes they’ll hang around and flirt with her.
She’s been in line to get lunch, and before she could check out, a guy walked up, paid for her lunch, and walked away.
She’s said that she goes back to her dorm at the end of the day with a bunch of small gifts, or, if it's food, she shares them with her new friends.
Oh, she’s also had guys walk up to her and hand her gifts while she’s with a group of friends. Making it really awkward. 😬🤦🏻♀️
She let me know that this does happen to her friends too, but that these are her experiences, and they’re really weird and new. 🤷🏻♀️
